As craft beer bars continue to appear like pimples on a pubescent boy, you may never find yourself far from one in Taipei. On a popular pedestrian street in the Xinyi district of Taipei city 啜飲室 Landmark pours word class beers from an impressive 15 tap system. Pronounced Chuai-yin-shi, 啜飲室 Landmark is a taproom of a major force in Taiwan's craft beer renaissance, TaiHu brewing.
啜飲室 Landmark provides something that few other craft beer bars in Taipei offer, outdoor tables, that happen to be located within Taipei's most popular pedestrian shopping area. This is an excellent place for taking break from a day of shopping or sightseeing in the Xinyi area.
As previously mentioned, 15 taps of delectable beer await you at 啜飲室 Landmark. Many of the taps contain TaiHu's locally brewed beers , while others flow with imported craft beer from abroad. Among the coolest features of this bar is that, with a small canning machines, it is able to package any of it's draft beers in 500ml cans for freshly poured take-away. In addition to the many taps of craft beer, the bar also stocks a large menu of bottled and canned beers. Draft beers start at NT$200.
啜飲室 Landmark is a very welcome addition to the Xinyi scene. Bringing some of the best locally available beers to passing tourists and local shoppers, Chuai-yin-shi Landmark helps to promote Taiwan's burgeoning beer scene while educating visitors to the city of it's ever growing presence.
