With a name that includes the word "coffee", one would be excused for assuming that Libero Coffee is little more than your local java joint. But don't be fooled by the deceptive name, Libero is an excellent bar with an outstanding collection of whiskey.
Libero is comfortably seated in the Shida student neighborhood. While appearing as a simple coffee shop from the exterior, the interior reveals an impressive bar and deeper still, gives way to a luxurious whisky lounge in the back room.Libero offers coffee, craft beer, and an extensive assortment of whiskey. Whiskey's range in price from $400 all the way to $2500, while most craft beers are priced around $250. The service staff is very friendly and helpful and happy to offer recommendations in both English and Chinese.
Libero's best feature is their ambiance. Red velour seats and impressive chandeliers adorn every room, and the entire bar has the style and feel of a very exquisite and comfortable home.
Libero is so much more than a coffee shop; it is an refined beer whiskey bar that should never be overlooked. Libero is a must visit for NTNU students or any whiskey lovers in Taipei, or even Taiwan.
