Spring Break on the Beach 2017

While for many Taiwanese families, the coming of the Tomb-sweeping Day holiday means paying respect to ancestors and family outings; however for party-loving locals and foreigners far away from their families, it means the biggest and best party weekend of the year.

Living up to its reputation, Spring Break on the Beach 2017 was a hell of a party! The best DJ's from North to South of Taiwan joined major international acts to blow the roof off of Kenting's Chateau Beach Resort.

As party-goers from all parts of Taipei continued to trickled into Kenting, the first day of the party kicked-off! By 6 pm the beach was bumping and by the time day-one headliner, Kryoman, took the stage it was practically causing earthquakes, island-wide. Kryoman, aka Andrew Moore, took to the decks, as ten-foot tall, smoke spouting robots rocked out on the stage. The awesome visual display alongside were sure to be a memorable experience for anyone still in a state to record memories at that point in the night.

The second day was well underway by mid-afternoon Sunday; sports, tanning and drinking, take over the beach in daylight hours. The party turned all the way up as the sunset, and all-you-can-drink beer from 5-8pm ensured that everyone was in party-mode. Dutch DJ Headhunterz, headlined after an excellent line-up of Taiwan-based DJs.   Headhunterz brought pounding hardstyle electro tunes practically liquefying the sand on the beach.

  • As partiers tire and wear out throughout the weekend, the final night of Spring Break On The Beach typically has lower attendance than previous nights; however, it is also consistently the wildest! The third and final night featured Australian electro duo, Bombs Away. With a little more space to dance, and the warmest weather of the weekend, Bombs Away had the party Lit!

Spring Break on the Beach 2017, lived up to its legacy as the best party of the year in Taiwan.   As competition rises from other major music events throughout Taiwan, the On The Beach crew has continued to up their game to stay well ahead of the pack.    It's only been one week since the party, but we are already counting down the days until next year!
