These days, craft beer bars have begun to pop-up in all parts of Taipei.  Many of these excellent bars pour delicious pints of craft beer from the best breweries, near and far; however, only one craft beer bar sets itself apart by serving only domestically produced craft beer and liquor.   The 58 Bar in trendy Ximending, packs it shelves, exclusively, with beer and liquor from every corner of Taiwan. 

The 58 Bar stocks more than 50 kinds of Taiwanese craft beer, in addition to Taiwanese liquors and it's world famed whiskey.  The local beer selection is far better than any other bar in Taipei, and it features beers from southern Taiwan, that are rarely seen in Taipei.   The craft beers are fairly priced starting around NT$200.  In addition to the craft beer, The 58 also offers the most famous local macro-brew, Taiwan Beer, on tap. The 58 bar also has food available to accompany beers, their chicken jerky is  notable, as a delicious companion to your beer!

The 58 Bar has two floors of bar space, complemented by a guesthouse on the third floor (in-case you drink too much to make it home).  The interior of the bar maintains a classic pub style and is dressed in a shade of red that represents "luck" in Taiwan's culture. The 58 Bar's staff are very friendly and happy to recommend a beer from their vast selection.

The 58 Bar is outstanding because it not only champions Taiwanese beer and liquor, but also presents warmth and quality in its service. The 58 Bar in Ximending is a must visit for anyone seeking out excellent local beers in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere!
