Laying claim to the title of "Taipei's first and oldest pub", My Place is the centerpiece of Taipei's Combat-zone bar district. The pub has changed very little since the doors were first opened in 1975 and it has aged gracefully into one of Taipei's best dive-bars.
The bar-staff are friendly, chatty and entirely female which is to be expected from the hostess-bar nature of most combat-zone bars. Additional entertainment is provided by pay-to-play pool and foosball tables as weel as plama TV's screening the best of the world's sporting events.
Moderately-priced draught beer at NT$600 a pitcher or NT$150 for a pint compliments a menu of standard pub cocktails.
Those who appreciate a good, classic, dive-bar should not miss out on My Place.
