With a name like "Dick's Place" you can be forgiven for expecting a gay bar, but Dick's is welcoming to people of all walks of life. A laid back pub with a chilled out atmosphere that stays open late, Dick's Place is a classic Taipei dive bar that's well worth a visit.
No beer on tap, but the standard big bottles of Taiwan Gold medal and classic are backed up by a range of standard pub spirits. The bar staff is friendly and happy to take on patrons in a game of Liar's Dice.
Some may say that the decor could use a refurbishing but in reality it has the perfect dive-bar grime and ambiance that many bar-goers crave. Perfectly unrefined.
